In the field of individual projects, my use of technology to create and write in multiple genres has been enhanced through various kinds of assignments. For instance, there are complaint letters, adjustment letter, incident reports and so on, which have enabled to develop my ability to use different technologies in writing. Through these projects, my research skills and critical thinking skills have been exercised to a great degree. Also, I have formed the ability to reflect on my learning process in an effective way. When finishing the individual projects, I have utilized critical reading and effective planning to a great extent. By reading critically, I have got to finish my research report well. By making effective plans, I have finished all my projects in time.

In the field of group projects, I think it has enhanced my research skills by promoting me to think critically and enabling me to exchange ideas with others. Surely, SLO’s relate to them in many aspects. For instance, through group projects, we have exercised our ability of reading critically. After all, we have to do a lot of research in the process, for which it is necessary for us to read critically so that we can gain a thorough understanding of a certain item. Moreover, we gave gained more knowledge about conventions through the exchange of ideas. When it comes to the members in my group, I think they are relatively hard-working and willing to collaborate with others. To be more specific, the process of communication in our group is usually smooth, because we are willing to accept the suggestions put forward by each other and we all put our group project on a high position than our own opinion.

In the field of textbook exercises, I have found them useful. To be more specific, on the one hand, they have served the role of helping me consolidate what I have learned. By only listening to the teacher and reading the textbooks, I may remember the theories for some time and then forget them easily. But with textbook exercises, I can be more impressed by the knowledge through the usage of them. On the other hand, they enabled me to apply what I have learned. To put it differently, textbook exercises can be regarded as a bridge which connects the theoretical knowledge to the practices. By doing them, I get to know how to apply knowledge under certain circumstances. Also, SLO’s relate to them to a great degree. For instance, they are making contributions to the formation of critical thinking. After all, in the exercises, we are required to think critically if we want to finish them well.

In the field of my efforts, I think I gave my best effort. But if I could, I would still make improvements in some aspects. For instance, I would attach more importance to the collaborative working. At the beginning of the semester, I expected to exercise my ability of thinking critically in technical thinking. At the ending, I think I have realized it to some degrees. Among the parts, I like the part of writing letters most and like the part of oral reports least, which is because I am not confident enough to make oral presentations. I think I may end up with a letter grade of 40 points, because I claim that I have reflected my learning in the semester in a relatively comprehensive way.
