Computers are the products of this new era and people from all walks of society have to use computers to complete their work in one way or another. There is no doubt that computers are good for people. By computers I mean the programmable devices that can be used for displaying, processing and storing information. By good I mean computers can bring a series of benefits to people. By people I mean the wide public that have to rely on computers to finish their work more or less. My point of view is as a computer science major at UNC Charlotte and this paper aims to explore whether computers are good for people.
As a matter of fact, various ways can be used to determine if computers are good for people. To put it more specifically, computers can be used for making movies as can be used to entertain the wide public. Also, computers can help improve people’s productivity due to their better understanding of the software so as to achieve better in the end. At the same time, computers can as well enable people to make money, like running an online store, finding part-time jobs online, etc.
Apart from that, computers are able to allow people to learn and keep them informed so that they can be clear about what happens at present. In addition, computers can help people find love in their life as long as they can log onto dating websites on the Internet (Computer Hope. 2019). After taking all these benefits into consideration, thus I argue that computers are good for people because they can help people’s life easier and better to a certain degree.
The specific two themes of my paper are respectively the benefits of using computers and the necessity for people to use computers. There is no doubt that the most important theme is the benefits of using computers because all these benefits of using computers can guide people to use computers in a correct way so that computers won’t bring them too many detrimental effects in the due time. And the rationale why the second theme is also important lies in that it can directly tell the wide public that computers are necessary for them to use in order that they can take the best advantage of computers.
To sum up, a reasonable conclusion can be drawn that computers are undoubtedly good for people and computers should be used by people. However, what is a pity to say is that people have to better regulate themselves in order that they won’t be impacted by using computers in a negative way, such as playing computer games, picking up bad habits from all kinds of characters they see online and so on.
It is obvious that my conclusion matters because it can successfully help people to make the value of computers to the full while bypass the disadvantages of using computers in the meantime.
